Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
I'm dedicated to assisting adults on their journey to break free from emotional pain and embrace a life of authenticity, empowerment, and worth. I welcome clients from all backgrounds, understanding and acknowledging the unique challenges of each individual. My clients are typically women of color, veterans, and active duty military personnel.
In our online therapy sessions, I provide a secure and private space for you to express your thoughts and feelings. We'll embark on a dialogue that promotes introspection and self-discovery. We'll work together to identify your strengths, and I'll provide you with tools to tackle challenges and meet your goals. My recommendation is that you find a space that is private, quiet, and free from distractions.
I follow a holistic approach to therapy, involving mind, body, and spirit in the healing process. I use a variety of therapeutic modalities to tailor my approach to your unique needs. Faith plays an integral part in my practice, and if you're open to it, I can include prayer in our sessions.
Not at all. Although faith guides my practice, I work with clients of all spiritual beliefs or none at all. I respect and value your personal beliefs and perspectives. My goal is to create a nurturing space that supports your unique journey towards growth and self-discovery.

As a part of our commitment to transparency and respect, all payments are expected to be settled at the time of service. If there are outstanding payments, reminders will be sent to you. As stated in my policy, If unpaid bills persist, it may lead to the termination of therapy services until payment is received and cleared. Please communicate any financial struggles to me so we can discuss potential solutions and ensure continued support.
For the purpose of fostering accountability and consistency, I typically schedule therapy appointments at the same time and day each week. This approach helps establish a routine and ensures that we have dedicated and consistent time for your therapy sessions. Having a consistent schedule also facilitates better continuity and progress tracking throughout your therapeutic journey. However, if there are specific circumstances or scheduling needs that require flexibility, we can discuss and make arrangements accordingly.
As a standard practice, I typically recommend that new clients come for weekly therapy appointments during the first three months. Research supports this frequency as it helps establish a strong foundation for therapeutic progress and provides consistent support during the initial stages. After the initial phase, we can reassess and determine the most suitable frequency of sessions together. The ultimate goal is to tailor the frequency to your specific needs and progress.
